Winter Gardening Workshops

Join us for 1 or all 3 workshops with Master Gardener Carol Shirk as she shares a wealth of knowledge to help you be successful. Bring your questions and make this year your best one yet!

Monday, February 12 @ 6:00pm Succulent Gardening

Succulents are easy to grow, require little maintenance, and are great plants for indoors or outdoors.  Come and learn how to successfully grow them in your landscape and in your home. Learn about plant types, how to select the best ones for your conditions, how to care for them, and how to propagate them.   Carol Shirk, a certified Master Gardener of over 28 years will teach you what you need to know and show you how to plant a container of beautiful plants.  One attendee will be able to take home the demo as a door prize.

Monday, March 11 @ 6:00pm Seed Starting

Gardeners have a hard time waiting for the growing season to begin.  One way to get a jump start is to start seeds indoors before the season actually begins.  Timing, soil, light, container choice, water requirements, and the all-important moving to the outdoors are critical for success.

Monday, April 8 @ 6:00pm Spring Gardening Tips

Spring has finally arrived and it is time to think about gardening.  Now is the best time to take a look at what worked and what didn’t work in the past.  Plan for the future and learn how to be successful this gardening season.  Bring along your questions as Certified Master Gardener, Carol Shirk, presents Spring Garden Tips.

Carol has gardened for over 65 years and has been a Master Gardener for over 28 years.  Her experience and training will help you as you “dig into” your problems and figure out what to do this season.
